Dream Blunt (force) Rotation

Woo boy. This series was made as a way for me to process my frustration towards seeing billionaires in close attendance to the president during the inauguration. It was a blatant display of oligarchy and a spit in the face to citizens of this nation.
This project touches on a lot of ideas, including the danger of social media as it has been used as a political tool to divide people. It should be a HUGE red flag that these billionaires that own social media platforms and a news publication are buddy-buddy with the current administration. We already know that misinformation is rewarded by algorithms- what is to stop these people from pushing content that isn't truthful but aligns with a certain agenda?
Social media has set the narrative; keep people angry with culture wars to distract from the true problem: billionaires continue to get richer and influence policy while the working and poor classes try to make ends meet in an unfair system. You're telling me that I should blame marginalized groups for my problems and not the fact that wages haven't kept up with inflation for decades? Anyways. As you can see I was very passionate about this artwork.
The imagery is powerful and demands attention. It uses the same algorithm I spoke of to its advantage to create discussion. It brings to mind revolutionary France, when the people no longer accepted being trod on by the ruling class.
