New Projects
All electronics will be ripped out and replaced
with modern digital units.
All mechanical parts will be changed or re
manufactured.
This will make the machine more accurate
and efficient than when it was new.
It will get a nice paint job also.
3-9-06 update
Aw shucks! They went for the repair instead
of the overhaul.
I finished the repair and sent it home a few
weeks ago. It is happily in production now
and works great.
Here is a photo after the repair.
I was given a new project. I will now build
Crush Testers with digital electronics (PLC).
I have ben making analog testers for years, but
now it's going modern. I will design and build
the electrical circuit. It will be controlled by a
microprocessor reader.
The analog tester is below. I am conducting
experiments prior to development. I plan to
have a machine ready to ship within 70 days.
It looks like these will be my next toys, IC's. I am
studying digital logic and it is going quicker than
I reckoned. I have some "stuff" on order which
will further my IC knowledge. I will be writing
simple software code for IC's and
microprocessors with in a month or two.
I wonder what I will do with these things. I have
no idea. What I study keeps on changing all the
time, it becomes a bigger challenge. I thrive on
challenge. The tougher the better. It helps me
keep my sanity in this messed up civilization.
More projects to come, check back later!
